What it does and when to use it

If you shot your product laid flat from above, this mode shows it on a real model. Each model × pose combination is a separate photo; poses are not imagined, the chosen model’s ready frame in that pose is used. That gives you the same product consistently across several poses and models.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: Open the mode

On the Create screen choose the Flat lay to on model card.

  2. Step 2: Upload the product

Drop the image onto Upload a flat-lay photo to begin or press Select photo.

  3. Step 3: Choose the main product type

Pick Top, Bottom or Full body as the Main product type. This choice is required; the model wears the product only as the type you pick. For the other pieces of the outfit see the slot section below.

  4. Step 4: Pick models

In the Models step select up to 4 models. There are Women, Men and Children tabs.

  5. Step 5: Confirm the size

In Customize models each model’s size is pre-selected; check it and continue.

  6. Step 6: Pick poses

In the Poses step select up to 4 poses, or press Pick recommended poses.

  7. Step 7: Pick a background

In the Backgrounds step choose a backdrop. This mode has no original-background option; the catalogue default is pre-selected.

  8. Step 8: Summary and generation

On the Summary screen check the calculation, such as 2 models × 3 poses = 6 photos, and the Total: … credits. If needed, change the ratio and resolution under Advanced, then press Generate.

The slot system: completing the outfit

When you pick the product type, the Outfit panel opens. Your upload sits in the Main product slot; the other slots depend on the main product type:

Main product typeOther slots you can fill
TopBottom, Shoes
BottomTop, Shoes
Full bodyShoes
  • Empty slots say Not worn unless picked and stay empty: only your upload and the pieces you pick are worn.
  • To fill a slot, pick from the Ready-made piece library; it has a Women/Men toggle and a Barefoot option for shoes.
  • Slots that are not visible in the chosen pose are not generated and cost no credits; the summary points this out.

Ratio and resolution (Advanced)

  • Aspect ratio: 1:1, 2:3, 3:4, 4:5 or 9:16. The default is 3:4; the ratio does not change the price.
  • Resolution: Standard, 2K or 4K. The default is Standard. 2K is available on Pro, 4K on Business and above.

Tips for good results

  • Shoot the product from the front, on a flat surface, straight from above; angled shots distort the perspective.
  • Use even, soft light; avoid hard shadows and cluttered backgrounds.
  • Lay the product out without wrinkles; folded sleeves and curled hems show in the result.
  • Images with a short edge of at least 1024 pixels are recommended (512 pixels is the minimum).

Credits and time

At default prices each photo costs 1 credit. A premium model adds +1, a brand-exclusive model +2, a premium pose +1, an indoor/outdoor background +1, 2K +1 and 4K +3. The total is shown on the Summary screen before you generate, and the Credit breakdown lists what each part costs. Credits for photos that cannot be produced are refunded automatically.

Common problems

I see “Mixed gender selection: no shared poses”.

Women’s and men’s poses are separate pools. Press Back to mannequin selection and pick models of a single gender; start a separate generation for the other gender. Child and adult models cannot be combined either.

“Two products cannot fill the same garment slot” error.

A dress covers both the top and the bottom. Remove either the dress or the top/bottom product from the outfit.

It says “This feature isn’t included in your plan.”

The resolution or model you picked is not in your plan. Switch back to Standard resolution under Advanced, or upgrade your plan.

“There is no ready reference frame for this mannequin and pose.”

The frame for that pose is not ready for this model yet. Pick another pose or model.
