What it does and when to use it
Editorial mode produces a single premium frame for a campaign, social media or a lookbook rather than a catalogue shot. All the products you add appear in the same frame. Scene, ratio and model are set on one screen; there is no step-by-step flow.
Step by step
Step 1: Open the screen
On the Create screen choose the Editorial photo card.
Step 2: Pick a scene
Pick a scene from the Ready-made scene list on the right. Categories (All, Women, Men, Studio, City, Daylight, Minimalist and more) narrow the list. Picking a scene also sets its default ratio and model; you can change both.
Step 3: Add products
In the Set the scene panel on the left press Add item. You can add up to 4 products (Items (n/4)). It works with flat lays, outfits and accessories.
Step 4: Choose the model
Press the model chip and pick a model in Select a model. If your product photo has a model you want to keep, turn on Use the model in the photo: the face and body are kept, the scene and pose change.
Step 5: Choose the ratio
From Select ratio pick Square (1:1), Portrait (4:5), Portrait (3:4), Portrait (2:3) or Story (9:16).
Step 6: Generate
The credit amount appears under the Generate button. Press it and the project page opens, where the frame is prepared.
Writing your own description
Instead of a ready-made scene you can choose My own description, the first card in the list, and describe the scene yourself. The description can be at most 400 characters. A ready-made scene and your own description are not used together.
Tips for good results
- A single product or a complete outfit gives the best results.
- Use product images with clean edges and a plain background; avoid very small or cropped images.
- In your own description, describe the scene through light and mood; do not write brand or real people’s names.
Credits and time
At the default price an editorial frame costs 1 credit; a premium model adds +1 and a brand-exclusive model +2. The scene and background are not charged separately, and the resolution is standard. If a premium scene is not in your plan, its card says Not in your plan and it cannot be selected.
Common problems
“This preset is not included in your plan.” error.
The scene you picked is available on higher plans. Choose another scene or upgrade your plan.
The Generate button is disabled.
You need a scene (or your own description), at least one product and a model (or Use the model in the photo turned on). If you don’t have enough credits, an Add credits link appears next to the button.
Child models are not in the list.
Child models cannot be used in editorial mode; they are only available in the flat-lay and mannequin modes.
