What it does

The Cosmetics video studio turns a single product photo into a short, multi-shot ad video whose cuts land on the beat of the music. The product’s label and packaging are kept as they are.

Supported product types: Lipstick, Lip gloss, Mascara, Nail polish, Foundation, Eyeshadow palette, Perfume, Serum and Cream. You reach the studio from the Cosmetics video card on the Create screen or from the Cosmetics tab in the short video templates.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: Pick a template

Choose a showcase template under Template. A template pre-fills every choice below; each setting can be changed.

  2. Step 2: Upload the product

Under Product press Upload product photo (JPEG, PNG or WebP) and choose the Product type. Use Set the shade colour to set the product’s shade for texture and swatch shots.

  3. Step 3: Add your brand name (optional)

Type up to 24 characters into Brand name on the closing frame; it appears on the video’s closing frame.

  4. Step 4: Set the scene

Under Scene choose a Theme (e.g. Golden honey, Neon night), up to 3 Props and a Backdrop. Tick Alternate light and dark backdrops between shots if you like.

  5. Step 5: Adjust the cinematics

Under Cinematics choose 1–3 Camera movements, the Edit tempo (Calm, Rhythmic, Fast), the Speed, the Length (6, 10 or 15 s) and the Format (9:16, 4:5, 1:1).

  6. Step 6: Choose human shots and music

Under Human shots pick a model, or choose None if you don’t want human shots. The framing follows the product (e.g. lips for lipstick, hands for nail polish). Tick Add original music for music.

  7. Step 7: Create the video

Check the Credits and Balance lines in the summary on the right and press Create video. The video appears in the My cosmetics videos list.

  • Credits are held when the video starts. If the video cannot be made, all of them are refunded.
  • If the music cannot be made, the video is delivered without music and the 1 music credit is refunded.
  • The 4:5 and 1:1 formats are centre crops of the 9:16 video; 9:16 uses the full frame.

My cosmetics videos

The My cosmetics videos list under the studio shows your last 30 videos and refreshes on its own. The statuses go Queued, Making frames, Making clips, Editing and music and Ready; watch a finished video and get it with Download. A video marked Failed has had its credits refunded.

Common problems

“Upload a product photo first” warning.

The Create video button does not work until a product photo is uploaded. Upload it under Product.

I see “Not enough credits”.

Your balance does not cover the length and music you chose. Pick a shorter length, turn the music off or buy credits.

Which photo gives the best result?

A sharp, front-facing photo of the product with a readable label. The product is kept in the video exactly as it appears in this photo.
